DR. SERGIO MORASSO is an agency specialized in the wood sector more than 80 years considering also first 40 years worked by Mr.Gino Angeletti who is arrived from Gualdo Tadino to Genoa after the Big War and he established the GINO ANGELETTI firm where from 1959 Dr.Morasso worked as Commercial Director until the 1965, when he took the company with, in this moment, twenty employees.

Mr.Angeletti have obtained to represent products of the Yugoslavian state firms and of the most important Austrian, Swedish and Finnish sawmills.

In 1965, after relieve the GINO ANGELETTI firm, Dr.Sergio Morasso decided to continue these activity, in the meantime transformed also in a passion, and he added new wood firms specialized in species as Douglas, Pitch Pine developing also African tropical species in logs and lumbers particularly from West Coast and, after, also Far East. From 60/65 the activity was very hard and sales was, often, for complete vessels from different producers countries.

On the other hand Genoa was one of the most important of unloading and distribution centre of the material in all Italy and there was the most important importers.

In 90 years, after studies and stages from primary Italian importers, both sons, Christian and Gian Sergio, started to collaborate with the company and they are interesting in sales and also in others activities always in wood sector.

In fact Christian is subscribed as “expert ” in the Genoa Province, particularly for problems in parquet flooring and he followed for much months in the United States a course as inspector of National Hardwood Lumber Association (N.H.L.A.) concerning American coniferous and “latifoglia” . Furthermore he is also inspector of Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux (A.T.I.B.T.) for logs and lumbers.

So, consider the above and also the different trips in the productions countries, we can consider Christian as a very expert in market wood and his characteristics.

Finally, Gian Sergio in 1991 at 18 years hold, is an inspector of A.T.I.B.T. and he collaborate from 1994 with different shipment companies for inspection of the wood arriving from West Africa….. Furthermore he followed different stages in primary Italian firms, always in wood sector, and he conferred, in 1997, the Economy and Commerce degree and he discussed, as thesis, “…..”. Gian Sergio is also Lead Auditor of Moody for systems quality UNI EN ISO 9000.94 after transformed in Vision 2000.

From 2000 Gian Sergio is President of Commission III “norms and uses” of A.T.I.B.T. and after some years in Milan at F.LLI FELTRINELLI company as buyer, he working in the father’s agency….. The MORASSO agency is subscripted in categories associations as AGELEGNO, FEDECOMLEGNO and VEROLEGNO.
